Banana Splits



4 bananas

Ice cream
 
6 table spoons chopped mixed nuts

FOR THE CHOCOLATE RUM SAUCE

125G (4½ OZ) plain chocolate broken into small pieces

2½ tbsp butter

6 tbsp water

1 tbsp rum

Method:


1. To make the sauce melt the chocolate and the butter with the water in a pan whilst stirring.


2 Remove from the heat and stir in the rum.


3. Peel the bananas and slice lengthways & arrange on 4 serving dishes,


4. Top with ice cream and nuts & serve with the sauce.


5. If serving to children please remember to omit the rum from the sauce.
